Wow...now thats procrastination!

So 'A', my son and I have been planning a Spring Break vacation for about a year...since we slept through last years. About 2 months ago, I think, we settle on Utah and Colorado. Sounds random, but there is a reason. 'A' went to school there and knows people. So now spring break is in a week and do we have everything nailed down....NOPE! Okay do we have some things nailed down....Besides the destination and an unreliable map from map quest printed off...nope...thats it...lol. We will, however, discuss it tonight...maybe...lol. We are calling it spontanious...lol. If anyone has any tips, advise...etc. Let me know..we could use it.

lots of neat things to see and do in both Utah and CO. National Park capitol in Utah. Lots of neato sights. Bryce is my favorite along with Monument Valley. Arches was neat as well.

In CO (as a kid) I loved Glenwood Springs. The water is so warm (hot springs) and we loved the slides/big pools. http://www.hotspringspool.com/pool
Neat area. I remember Georgetown, CO nestled in a mountain valley with a river running through town. CO is also quite possibly our travel destination for the year. We have family there. This is one CO destination that looks neat that I haven't been too http://www.royalgorgebridge.com/ in Canon City.

Your trip sounds like fun, I'm sure you'll have fun whatever you do/don't do there :-). Can't wait to hear about it. I love travel stories~

Hang out in the mountains a lot- bring a chunk of mountain back for me to kiss!

PS-
Here's that blog of the soldier in Iraq that I was telling you about. He's pretty deep and has some pretty long posts, so put your reading glasses on. It's a good tool to use to put a reality to the war a little bit. It seems we have never been so distant from a war as a nation- past wars always required some sacrifice from the civilians on a grand scale, and so far, most of us haven't yet felt that.

It's 1:20 AM and I can't sleep for feer that the clowns will eat me. Oh, wait, that's not it at all! I've just got so much going through my mind I can't settle in. Our vacation, where we're going to stay, which city in Wyoming we'll stay in, Olivia, Nicole, covering everything the week we are gone . . . YACK! I need sleep! It's becoming more real . . . I'm getting excited!

Yah, Wyoming on the way home to avoid Nebraska...yawn....We are going through Nebraska on the way there, through CO to Denver, go to a calvary church there, then spend a day in Glenwood springs, then Moab, UT, up to Salt lake, up to Logan, Bear lake UT, and up to Casper WY and home....Marathon vacation...lol. AND A PARTRIGE IN A PEAR TREE!!!

I hope that you have fun. I love to travel and go places that I have never been. I went to Seattle. A place so different from where I live it was amazing and I loved being there very much.

Hey- did you steal my picture from my recipe blog?? That's so weird! I just got done posting about this apple coffee cake, and I put a pic on there that looks like the stuff I made (cause I haven't joined the 21st century and gotton a digital camera) and I come over here and see the pic I picked out on YOUR blog. Spooky. If you haven't looked at it yet (I'm sure you haven't) I just started a new blog just for recipes.
I hope you like it! I'll add more as the days / weeks progress, of course!

and remember out west is all about chuckwagons and old time photos. We were to one near CO Springs, it may have been the Flying W one I see listed, not sure (been awhile). Anyway they're both experiences not to be missed. Of course i was a kid then (teen) so maybe different now lol. Everything costs money though so just reminiscing and trying to throw fun ideas your way regardless :-) ....

Forget that last comment I made- my computer was acting up! It was taking pics that I had downloaded and putting them on other web pages- or at least making it LOOK like they were on other web pages. It was EERIE. I downloaded a new version of firefox, so that should do it. I was due to upgrade a little bit anyway!

Have fun on your trip!!!

PS- I'm not going as far as you or for as long (but I get to have sex....bwah ha ha ha....Just teasing, I couldn't resist!)
